This is a great campground. Nice little embellishments around sites, easy in and out, nice camp store. My niece lived the goats. I loved the fireflies in the back field. If I was going to Hershey Park I would probably stay at the Hershey Park campground, but if you are staying in the area longer and want peace and space - stay here.
Needs a facelift, a bit muddy. Great little shop/restaurant. Nice staff. By far the worst Wifi bandwidth we'd experienced coast to coast, and the park was less than half full.
Being new to KOA camping I didn't realize I booked a "Journey" campground instead of a Holiday/Resort campground and what they each have to offer. Although we didn't have the amenities that Holiday/Resort grounds have, we did have a very relaxing stay. We were close enough to Hershey to enjoy the sights yet far enough away not to have to deal with the traffic in town. The camp store had a little of everything and the ice cream shop was a great way to end a hot day of bike riding. Only a few miles down the road was the state game lands where you could walk or bike ride the many trails available. You might hear a bit of noise from the nearby highway and the helicopters flying overhead from Fort Indiantown Gap Military Base, a cool place to drive through with the kids, but the campers were very nice and courteous by keeping the noise level acceptable. This is a great stop over campground when heading on a long distance destination. They do have some small amenities for kids here as well as being able to tube/canoe, etc on the Swatara Creek which runs right alongside the campground.
Nice and clean roomy spots. Great little restaurant which is nice while driving all day. The only downside ( and this happened twice) they escorted us through the site the wrong way...had to make a scarry turn to get into another site. I would still recommend this KOA.
Small & quiet campground right off I-81 & convenient to fuel & fast food selection. Friendly staff. Our favorite was the ice cream & meal selection - so reasonably priced & tasty. Explorations cut short due to weather, but believe access trail from campground may link to Swatara State Park
